Comet C/2012 K1 (PanSTARRS)

An image of Comet C/2012 K1 PanSTARRS currently in the constellation Ursa Major (May 22, 2014 05hr 09 min 56 sec UT exposures started). The comet has two tails, a brighter dust tail and a fainter ion trail. The image image taken with a TeleVue 140 f/5 refractor and a SBIG ST200xcm camera @ -20 degrees C on an Astro-Physics 1200 mount (3 x 5 min lights, 20 darks, 64 flats, 64 bias). Image acquisition with MaxIm DL and processed with PixInsight 1.8.1. 1092 (x64) and Adobe Photoshop CC.
