The 2017 Science+Mathematics Think-in will take place March 9 and is hosted by WVIZ ideastream.
I’m delighted to say I’ll be speaking at the Science+Mathematics Think-in this week in Cleveland, Ohio. Hosted by WVIZ/PBS ideastream, the event will take place at the Idea Center at Playhouse Square, and will feature a keynote address by me at 9 a.m. I’ll speak on “Does the Universe Really Care About Itself? Teaching Astronomy in the 21st Century.” My presentation will be followed by NASA’s Amy Mainzer and Craig Bartlett, who will speak on “Around the Solar System with Ready Jet Go!”
For more information on the event, see http://www.ideastream.org/science-mathematics-think-in
The hosting organization is the PBS TV affiliate in Cleveland, and also involved will be the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Great Lakes Science Center, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Amy and I will also be interviewed on the radio show “The Sound of Ideas” at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8. We’ll also tour the Great Lakes Science Center and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and do some other interviewing that will appear in the Ohio markets.
Many thanks to the terrific Linda Williams and her whole crew who have done such a magnificent job organizing this event.
If you will be in the Cleveland area, I’ll hope to see you there!
