Cleveland, Ohio will host the Science+Mathematics Think-In on March 9, 2017.
I’m very excited to be a keynote speaker at the Science+Mathematics Think-In, a professional learning day for Pre-K through 12th Grade educators, hosted by WVIZ/PBS ideastream, in Cleveland, Ohio.
The event will take place March 9, 2017, from 9 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. at the Idea Center at Playhouse Square, 1375 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, and is hosted by not only WVIZ/PBS ideastream but also the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Great Lakes Science Center, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
I’ll deliver the morning’s first talk, “Does the Universe Really Care About Itself? Teaching Astronomy in the 21st Century.” Also speaking will be Craig Bartlett, producer of the kids’ science show Ready Jet Go!, and JPL’s Amy Mainzer, science curriculum consultant for the show.
The day will be filled with many more talks, workshops, panel discussions, and fun for educators, and we are expecting a large crowd.
Please join us in Cleveland for science education, and to explore the universe!
