For the past 10 years, the Advanced Imaging Conference (AIC) has grown into the largest of all meetings centering on astrophoto techniques for amateur astronomers. This year the meeting will take place once again at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, in Santa Clara, California, in the heart of the beautiful Silicon Valley.

Astronomy magazine will again serve as a sponsor for the AIC. Several hundred astroimagers will spend October 11–13 attending magnificently detailed talks, seeing new products from vendors, handing out awards for great works, and basking in the glory of capturing their own images of the heavens.

Speakers this year will include Rob Gendler, who has a new book out, Lessons from the Masters, from Springer; Adam Block; Alex Filippenko; Warren Keller; David Malin; and Astronomy Contributing Editor Tony Hallas.

Thanks again to AIC President Ken Crawford and his fellow officials — Jay GaBany, Keith Allred, Frank Barnes, and Bob Fera — for doing such a magnificent job with this conference.
