Good friend John Schroer, planetarium committee chair of the Astronomy Foundation, informs me of a fun event coming up in the Detroit area March 16, 2013.
Astronomy enthusiasts are invited to the 10th Annual Astronomy Show and Swap Meet hosted by the Ford Amateur Astronomy Club, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature many astronomy presentations throughout the day. Planetarium lectures will describe what’s up in the sky, including Comet PANSTARRS, and amateur astronomers can earn extra cash by bringing their scopes, eyepieces, cameras, binoculars, mounts, software, and other items to the all-day swap meet.
The event will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 30650 Six Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48152, and for more information, you can contact John Schroer at
ka8grh@gmail.com
or Frank Ancona at
FrankAncona34@yahoo.com
.
If you are in the Detroit area in mid-March, don’t miss this great annual event!
