Tracey Pilch, an amateur astronomer and artist, is putting on a great show in Anchorage, Alaska, this month and next titled “The Art of Astronomy.” If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and check it out. Tracey is adjunct professor of art and art history at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, where the exhibition will take place, in the UAA Consortium Library.

Of her work, Tracey says, “It’s a visceral, metaphoric dialog involving the interconnectedness of our universe as it relates to our human experience. It is not scientific rendering, but creative interpretation inspired by my love of art and astronomy, avid personal observations, and research and images collectively informed by NASA and the Hubble Space Telescope.”

Thanks for sharing, Tracey.
