Our good friend in Dayton, Ohio, astroimager John Chumack, sent this fantastic picture of the International Space Station streaking across part of the sky. John captured the image August 6, 2012, from Yellow Springs, Ohio, and it shows a marvelous view of the summer Milky Way as well.

He used a simple camera-and-tripod setup, a Canon DSLR with an 8mm fisheye lens set at ISO 800, for the 56-second exposure.

Bravo, John!
