In recognition of its 50th anniversary, Celestron has just posted the first of six planned videos in its “Path of Light” series. Episode 1, “Generation of Dreamers” explains how the company’s founder, Tom Johnson, developed the first commercial Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.
Interviews with Johnson, Celestron employees (such as former President Alan Hale and current President Joe Lupica), and notable figures in the amateur telescope field provide a historical background for Johnson’s important breakthrough.
