About dntiremanSATX

I have been fascinated with Earth Science and the Solar System since middle (junior high) school, becoming aware of events like eclipses in the early 1970's, but never having the keen interest or the equipment to observe or record celestial events until Halley's Comet began its approach in 1985-86. Even though I had to get up very early in the morning in early 1986, I grabbed my camera (and on occasion my telescope in late 1985) and experimented with film to try to get the best pictures possible.  My most recent ventures have been photographing the partial solar eclipse and the transit of Venus last year, and photographing Mercury at its most recent elongation, with the bonus of catching Mars in the same photograph. I have a Meade NGC-60 telescope and two Kodak digital cameras that I use for observing and recording the Universe around us.
