Sharpless 282

Sharpless 282 (LBN 978) is an HII region ionized by the bright star to the left (east) HD 47432. The region is located approximately 4,200 light-years away in Monoceros.

Collinder 110 is the open cluster near the top left.

NGC 2262 (Collinder 109) is the open cluster near the bottom left.

Ha – 24x1800s – 720 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

840 minutes total exposure – 14 hours

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) on November 27th and December 5th, 2020 and October 18th and December 11th and 12th, 2021 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90DT at f/6.7 603mm.
