Sh2-156 (IC 1470 and others) is a HII region that is part of cluster NGC 7510. It is looked approximately 8,741 light-years away in Cepheus.

BFS 17, another HII region and Kronberger 23, an open cluster, is located to the left of Sh2-156.

BFS 16 and DG 189 are the HII and reflection nebulae located at the top right of the image.

The field is obscured by IFN dust. The thickest clouds are cataloged in the Planck Galactic Cold Clump (PGCC) catalog - https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/pdf/2016/10/aa25819-15.pdf.
