(oil on canvas)   Comet West rises in the pre dawn sky February 28, 1976.   The nucleus was starlike and very bright, remaining visible after sunrise and throughout the day as a tiny companion to the sun.  Viewed by myself and my brother just east of Centralia, Washington.
