NGC2903 is a young, barred spiral galaxy in Leo. At magnitude 8.9, it is remarkable that Messier didn't catalog this galaxy. This image is just over 3.5 hours total exposure time, taken over 2 nights, February 16 and 19, 2009 in Hendersonville, TN. The temperatures were 35° F & 29° F, respectively.
