Sharpless 217 + 219

Sharpless 217 (LBN 745 and others) is the larger HII region approximately 12,400 light-years away in Auriga.

Sharpless 219 (LBN 747 and others) is the smaller region approximately 13,800 light-years away.

Ha – 18x1800s – 540 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

660 minutes total exposure – 11 hours

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri over seven nights in March, September and October, 2018 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
