Anyone have a dog or puppy that had bilateral FHO surgery?
To make a long story short our puppy was injured at some point during her spay surgery and time at the clinic who spayed her she suffered a luxation to the right hip this was in feb after a lot of back and forth and follow ups telling the clinic something wasn’t right with her they told us she was fine and faking it....
So we of course got a second opinion which is when the dislocation was both felt immediately by the vet and confirmed on X-ray the vet also said our puppy has shallow sockets so it would have been easy to do but they still believed it happened during the spay.
Well fast forward we’ve managed her pain with meds and got a referral to a ortho vet for surgery upon another X-ray since she was compensating the left hip was starting to slip close too so he recommended doing both at once.
She is 7 months old we get her back tomorrow but I’m nervous about her recovery and how I can help her she is my youngest pet and our sweetest most well behaved.
