This is SH2-264, a ionized nebula region surrounding the blue giant star Meissa at the top of the constellation Orion, in a region relatively close to us where new stars are born. In this orientation for some it may look like the Orion’s Head. This is the red version created from almost 11 hours of exposures with a wide field telescope and a four panel mosaic with the L-Extreme filter. Hope you enjoy the head of this mythical hunter!
Captured with ASI294mc pro, Redcat51 (130 x 300 second exposures in 4 panel mosaic), ASAIR Pro, ASI120mm mini and TPO 180 for guiding, processed with APP & PS.
