Ced 111 + 112

Ced 111 (Bran 341B and others) is the blue reflection nebula at the lower center of the image.

Ced 112 (Bran 341C, IC 2631 and others) is the blue reflection nebula at the upper center of the image.

Most of this field in the Chamaeleon contains various dark nebulae including HMSTG402 near the top and HMSTG407 at the bottom. More information on HMSTG catalog of “southern dark clouds” can be found here - http://articles.adsabs.harvard.edu/pdf/1986A%26AS...63...27H.

Luminance – 6x300s – 30 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 6x300s – 30 minutes each – binned 1x1

120 minutes total exposure – 2 hours

Imaged May 2nd, 2021 at the El Sauce Observatory (Rio Hurtado, Chile) with a FLI ML 16200 on a Officina Stellare RH200 at f/3 600 mm.
