Sharpless 288 - A Wider View

Sharpless 288 (IC 466, LBN 1013 and others) is a HII area located approximately 9,800 light-years away in Monoceros.

Ha – 25x1800s – 750 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

870 minutes total exposure – 14 hours 30 minutes

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) over six nights in February, November and December, 2021 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
