Arp 11

Arp 11 (UGC 717, PGC 4116 and others) is part of Arp’s ‘Spiral Galaxies – Split Arm’ class. This one is located approximately 439 million light-years away in Pisces.

UGC 719 (PGC 4124, VV 348a and others) is the spiral above and too the left (east) with the flat galaxy PGC 212672 next to it.

Luminance – 25x600s – 250 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

370 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 10 minutes

Imaged September 11th and 13th, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
