Arp 158

Arp 158 (NGC 523, UGC 929, PGC 5268, VV 783 and others) is the odd trainwreck at the top left. Located approximately 194 million light-years away in Andromeda, this one is part of Arp’s, ‘Galaxies (not classifiable as S or E); Disturbed with interior absorption’ class.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 9:8:10x300s – 45:40:50 minutes each – binned 2x2

375 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 15 minutes

Imaged January 5th, 6th and 7th, 2021 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
