NGC 6058

NGC 6058 (PK 064+48 1 and others) is a small 36 arcsec planetary nebula located approximately 9,070 light-years away in Hercules. There’s an interesting paper on this object here - https://arxiv.org/pdf/1304.3248.pdf.

Luminance – 25x300s – binned 1x1 – 120 minutes
RGB – 8x180s – 24 minutes each – binned 2x2

187 minutes total exposure – 3 hours 7 minutes

Imaged April 23rd, 24th 25th and May 2nd, 2022 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
