A Squid within a Bat in Cepheus

Sh2-129 (The Bat) and Ou4(The Squid) are often imaged targets. The squid is exceedingly difficult to image due to its very faint brightness. This image is a HOO composite taken in 2017 with 2 scopes and cameras from 3 locations. My friend Dean and I both imaged this object from the Okie Tex Star Party and then also from our homes. The image combines 12.3 hrs of Ha exposures and 24 hrs of OIII exposures through a Stellarvue SV70T with QSI 583 camera and Takahashi FS60C with a QSI 640 camera. The image was processed in PixInsight and was revisited this past month as new tools became available in PixInsight to correctly normalize and scale images from multiple setups and sky conditions.
