Rho Ophiuchi is a multiple star system in the constellation Ophiuchus. it is located about 360 light-years from us, other stars in the system are slightly farther away.
This image has captured over 2 nights on Jun 10-11, 2021 from Negev desert Israel.
This relatively wide field image is due to a first use of my new QE 0.73X reducer .
The bright blue halo on the left side is from the star Sigma Scorpii, around this star there are multiple H- Alfa gas and dust which slightly shown in this image, I managed to capture 1 hour in HA filter but didn`t get enough data to my satisfaction.
If you take a close look at this image you can see a dark nebula in a shape of a pigeon and a seahorse above the pigeon.
Note that the first night was a bit windy and a bit cloudy but the second night was really come, the temp was steady all night, clear skies all night.
The skies are Bortle 3.
