Sharpless 305 + 306 + 307 + 309

Sharpless 305 (LBN 1048, BRAN 32, RCW 8 and others) is the bright HII region at the top right.

Sharpless 306 (LBN 1050, BRAN 39 and others) is the larger, but dimmer HII region below Sh2-305.

Sharpless 307 (LBN 1051, BRAN 50, Gum 7 and others) is the bright HII region near the top left.

Sharpless 309 (LBN 1053, BRAN 42A/B, RCW 13 and others) is the dim HII region near the bottom center. The stars are cataloged as open cluster Bochum 6.

All of these appear to be part of the same cloud estimated to be approximately 12,000 light-years away in Puppis.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours

Imaged on November 24th, 2019 and October 15th, 2020 at the Danville Conservation Area (New Florence, Missouri) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
