Sharpless 247 - A Wider View

Sharpless 247 (LBN 843 and others) is a HII region located approximately 6,500 light-years away in Gemini.

Ha – 12x1800s – 360 minutes – binned 1x1
Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

600 minutes total exposure – 10 hours

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) on December 8th, 10th and 11th, 2017 and January 1st, 2020 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
