Sharpless 217 (LBN 745) is a hydrogen alpha emission region located approximately 14,200 light-years away (https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/0004-6256/150/5/147/pdf) in Auriga.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged March 5th and 6th, 2018 and December 27th and 29th, 2019 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

I also captured 12 hours of Ha but it didn’t really add anything to the image.
