Arp 101 consists of UGC 10169 (VV 318b and others), the galaxy with the tail and UGC 10164 (VV 318a and others) located below it. Part of Arps, “Spiral galaxies with elliptical companions,” both are located approximately 225 million light-years away in Serpens Caput.
