Arp 182 (NGC 7674, UGC 12608, VV 343 and many others) is a Seyfert 2 spiral located approximately 404 million light-years away in Pegasus. This one is part of Arp’s ‘Narrow Filaments’ class. It appears to be interacting with MCG+01-59-081 (NGC 7674A, VV 343b and others), the small galaxy just above and to the left (east). These two along with PGC 71507 (below Arp 182) and NGC 7675 (left) make up Hickson Compact Group 96 (HCG 96).

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged November 10th, 11th and 25th, 2018 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
