Sharpless 1-89

Sh1-89 (PN G089.8-00.6 and others) is a faint planetary nebula located approximately 6,400 light-years away in Cygnus. This object was noted on Sharpless’ 1953 catalog. It was determined that it was a planetary nebula by the time the second catalog was introduced in 1959.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged November 7th and 8th, 2018 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
