Arp 310 + 311

Arp 310 consists of IC 1259 (UGC 10869, VV 101b and others) and IC 1259b (PGC 60323, VV 101a and others) are located approximately 385 million light-years away in Draco. These two ellipticals are part of Arp’s double galaxies class. These are in the bottom left quadrant of the image.

Arp 311 consists of the galaxies in Arp 310 above as well as IC 1258 (PGC 60320, UGC 10867 and others) and IC 1260 (PGC 60324 and others), the two largest galaxies below.

Luminance – 27x600s – 270 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

390 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 30 minutes

Imaged May 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th, 2018 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
