Arp 90 consists of NGC 5930 (UGC 9852, VV 823b and others), the larger spiral and NGC 5929 (UGC 9851, VV 823 and others), the smaller spiral to the right (west). These galaxies, located approximately 133 million light-years away in Bootes, are part of the ‘Spirals with large HSB companions on arms’ class.
UGC 9857 is the unusual Barred Magellanic type (SBm/IBm) galaxy above and to the left of Arp 90.

RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged May 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th, 2018 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
