Sharpless 2-106

Sh2-106 is a small nebula (originally thought to be a planetary) located approximately 5,500 light-years away in Cygnus.

vdB 133 (* 44 Cyg and others) is the star and reflection nebula at the bottom left. A much closer view taken with my 12” RC can be found here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/dcrowson/36336048474.

Ha – 18x1800s – 540 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

660 minutes total exposure – 11 hours

Imaged from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri (a red zone) on June 11th and 12th, July 6th and 14th and August 17th, 2017 with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
