The Fornax Dwarf Galaxy (ESO 356-004, PGC 10093 and 10074 and others) is an elliptical dwarf spheroidal galaxy located approximately 460,000 light-years away in Fornax. There are six known globular clusters including NGC 1049 which was found before the actual galaxy. At -34 Dec, this galaxy was imaged from 15 – 23 degrees above the horizon.
Luminance – 18x600s – 180 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
300 minutes total exposure – 5 hours
Imaged October 20th and 22nd, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
