Arp 98 consists of UGC 1095 (PGC 5715, VV301? and others), the distorted spiral at the center of this image and MCG+05-04-066 (PGC 5714, VV 301a and others), the elliptical to the right (west). These are in Arps’s Spiral galaxy with companion on arms – Elliptical galaxy companions class. Both galaxies are located approximately 550 million light-years away in Triangulum.

380 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 20 minutes
