NGC 253 (Caldwell 65, the Silver Coin, Silver Dollar or Sculptor Galaxy) is a large, intermediate starburst spiral galaxy located around 11 million light years away in Sculptor. It is the brightest member of the Sculptor group of galaxies which are considered the nearest group to the Local Group. This is another one of the Astronomical League's Local Group and Galactic Neighborhood objects. This one is rough because it only reaches about 26 degrees from my location.

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged October 21st, 22nd and 23rd, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90EDT at f/6.7 603mm.
