Arp 135 (NGC 1023, UGC 2154, VV 1039 and others) is a barred spiral located approximately 34 million light-years away in Perseus. Arp lists this one in his “elliptical or elliptical like galaxies with nearby fragments.” The fragment is probably the galaxy (NGC 1023A) on the left side that is barely discernable from NGC 1023. Also note the faint galaxy (NGC 1023B) below the bright star further left.
