Emission nebulae are a common sight in the constellation of Scorpius. One such nebular citadel is the Prawn Nebula, IC 4628. Its rich gas clouds glow strongly red, indicative of hydrogen gas emissions. Within its vicinity lies NGC 6231, an open cluster also known as the false comet or northern jewel box. The stars of NGC 6231 have a tightly packed appearance, making it a treat as a visual object even under light polluted skies.
