Abell 39 (PN A66 39, PK 047+42.1 and others) is a nearly spherical planetary nebula located approximately 6,800 light-years away in Hercules.

Imaged June 15th, 16th and 17th, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
