Arp 84 is comprised of NGC 5394 and 5395 in Canes Venatici. It has been nicknamed the "Heron Galaxies" because of its distinctive appearance. The two galaxies have interacted strongly in the past, probably passing through each other in a collision event. The target was imaged from a dark-sky site near Anza, CA using a 12.5" PlaneWave scope and a QSI-640ws camera at f/8. Total LRGB exposure time was 10 hours.
