Arp 227 consists of NGC 474 (UGC 864 and others), the shell galaxy at the center and NGC 470 (UGC 858 and others), the spiral to the right (west) of NGC 474. Both are located approximately 100 million light-years away in Pisces.
Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2
360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours
Imaged October 1st, 3rd and 4th, 2016 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

I also managed to capture seven asteroids over the two nights I shot luminance. The only one that survived data rejection for the final images was 8413 Kawakami, the brightest at 16.37 magnitude. See the two images with all of the asteroids identified below.
