Galaxy group Arp 286

Arp 286 is part of the double galaxies with infall and attraction group. It consists of NGC 5566 (UGC 9175 and others), the large barred spiral, NGC 5569 (UGZ 9176 and others), the spiral north of NGC 5566 and NGC 5560 (UGC 9172 and others), the distorted spiral to the west (right). All of these are located approximately 65 million light-years away in Virgo.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged May 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th, 2016 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
