Reflection nebulae van den Bergh 96 + NGC 2362

van den Bergh 96 (Ced 96, LBN 1058 and others) is the blue reflection nebula at the top of the image. The dark nebula above it is LDN 1660.

NGC 2362 (Collinder 136, Melotte 65, Tau Canis Majoris Cluster and others) is the bright trumpler class I 3 r open cluster at the bottom of the image.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

240 minutes total exposure – 4 hours

Imaged January 31st, 2017 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG ST-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT90DT at f/6.7 603mm.
