Time to learn some moon craters! I present Wilhelm, Longomontanus and Clavius.
Wilhelm – diameter is just over 100 km, named after Wilhelm IV (Landgrave of Hesse), German astronomer (1532-1592).
Longomontanus – diameter is just over 145 km, named for Christen Sørensen Longomontanus; Danish astronomer and mathematician (1562-1647).
Clavius – diameter is just under 231 km, named for Christopher Klau (Clavius); German mathematician (1537-1612).
