The Horsehead Nebula (B33)

IC434 is a dark nebula in the constellation Orion. The Horsehead Nebula is approximately 1500 light years from Earth. Image was taken on January 17 to 21, 2015 in Southern Arizona. A stack of 23 Luminance, 16 Red, 12 Green, 12 Blue and 16 Hydrogen Alpha exposures at 10 minutes each was made. Scope was an 11" Celestron EdgeHd at F7. A QSI 683wsg camera at -20 degrees Centigrade was used. Scope was on an AP900 mount with corrections supplied by an SBIG ST-I monochrome camera. Processing was done with CCDSTACK2 and Photoshop CS6 with Astro tools and Topaz Labs plugins in CS6.
