M78 is a reflection nebula that glows from stars within it. This nebula is at a distance of 1600 lyrs. I imaged this on January 9 and 11, 2016 in Southern Arizona. Image consists of 19 Luminance, 15 Red, 11 Green, 8 Blue and 4 Hydrogen Alpha at 5 minutes each exposure. A QSI 683wsg camera at -20 degrees Centigrade was used. The scope was a Celestron 11" EdgeHd at F7 mounted on an AP900 mount. Mount was guided with a Baader Vario F4.1 guide scope and an SBIG ST-I monochrome camera.
