The Owl Cluster (NGC 457)

One of the most striking likenesses in the sky. Resembling a bird of prey, this open cluster of about 80 suns is located in Cassiopeia and is and easy object to pick out in a small telescope. This image was recorded with a Canon XS DSLR and an Orion Short Tube 80 DSLR. This is a stack of 14 x 120 second exposures processed using Images Plus and PS5.
