The son-in-law helped me hoist the tube on the mount on Friday afternoon. By the end of the night I was ready to do a quickie image. This is globular cluster M13 shot under a full Moon with hazy skies.
This tube is the easiest I’ve ever setup. The mirror spacing and collimation was spot on. Didn’t have to touch a single screw. Still have some software tweaks to make. The increased area of this mirror is very noticeable over my other 12” RC scope. The total exposure time of this image is only 18 minutes. So far so good. I’m happy. :-)
