NGC 2403 is somewhat similar to M33 in terms of size and the striking number of H-alpha emission regions in the spiral arms. This image is an H-alpha:L:R:G:B composite image taken with a 12.5" PlaneWave scope and a Quantum Scientific QSI640-ws camera. Total integration time was about 9 hours from a dark-sky site near Anza, CA on the nights of 12/31/2013 and 1/25/2014.
