The “Intergalactic Wanderer” (NGC2419) is one of the more massive and distant globular clusters orbiting our Milky Way. NGC2419 is 300,000 light-years distant and resides in the constellation Lynx. As its name implies NGC2419 was at one time thought not to be a part of our Milky Way system because of its great distance. It is however now considered a part of the Milky Way and takes three billion years to complete one orbit about the Milky Way. RC12/STT8300 RGB 3x600s http://owlmountainobservatory.com/
