A non frequently imaged Open Cluster in the Constellation of Puppis. This is a rich pleasing cluster that includes variable R Puppis (6.5 -6.71) which is the bright Orange Star which in the North East edge. is in the line of sight of the cluster. The cluster is about 10 million years old and can be seen through small telescopes.
The image was from my home backyard in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 8" RC AT telescope working at f8 with a QSI 583 WS camera riding on a NEQ6 for a total exposure of 130 minutes.
